Catalog Colors is a Magento extension for any type of Magento products. With Catalog Colors your customers can see how a product looks like in different colors, shapes or designs on the catalog page of your Magento store. In the live demo images of the products in different colors are used, but you could use whatever images you like – e.g. front, back or side views of your products.

This Magento extension shows images and thumbnails on the catalog pages in a Magento store. It can be used to show images and thumbnails for any product type, not just for configurable products.

Configurable products can have either custom catalog images like any other product type in Magento, or images and thumbnails for their first configurable attribute.


Through the Magento backend you can enable and disable the extension, and set its parameters. You can define the size of the catalog colors, and specify whether all available catalog colors or only a maximum number of them will be displayed. If you e.g. would like to display maximum 3 of the catalog colors per product, you could also define whether a link to the product with information about how many additional catalog colors are available should be displayed. The image switching can be triggered through a click on a catalog color image, or through hovering with the mouse over the image.
